Splurge on these 9 markets in April, including the highly-anticipated Artbox

The month of April is finally here, which means the wait for Artbox Singapore is finally coming to an end. Besides the Bangkok import, there are tons of other markets worth checking out as well that feature vintage wear, local artisanal products, music performances, awesome food and good vibes.

Flea Party (Apr 1-30)

Markets usually last for a few hours or days, but not this one. The Flea Party will continue throughout the month gathering clothing vendors that are letting go of goods at affordable prices. Most merchants are not confirmed yet, but refer to their website for the latest updates.

Where: Level 6, Lucky Plaza (beside Jollibee)

Talad Tamarind: A Thai Night Market (Apr 8)

Besides catching a glimpse of Thailand’s food scene at Artbox, you can also do so at the more sophisticated Thai restaurant Tamarind Hill, where they will be transforming their historic colonial building into a street food market for one night only. Expect a feast with beers and Thai dishes like Kanom Jin (Phetchaburi-style Thai laksa), Sago Sai Gai (chicken and peanuts dumplings) and Sai Aue (grilled Chiang Mai pork sausage).

Where: Tamarind Hill Singapore, 30 Labrador Villa Rd.

The Vintage Fair at Journey East (Apr 8-9)

Singapore-based vintage furniture store Journey East is gathering seven retro vendors under one roof. D’Kranji Market (Apr 9)

The secluded D’Kranji Farm Resort will be turning into a bustling market selling fresh farm produce such as fish and vegetables that’s harvested right before the market, diabetes-friendly cookies and a myriad of spices. The event will also be teaching people how to make their own homemade brews with a herbalist.

The Summerhouse Earth Market (Apr 9)

The Summerhouse, which prides itself on their use of ingredients from an edible garden, is hosting an Earth-themed market.
