If you loved Russell Peters’ show, prepare for the arrival of Superwoman

If you crack up at Russell Peters jokes, it is your ethical/postcolonial/diasporic responsibility to check out Lilly Singh aka Superwoman, when she comes to Singapore end of this month. This Canadian comic behind viral videos like “Sh*t Punjabi Mothers Say”,  “How Girls Get Ready” and “Types of Kids at School” will be stopping in Singapore next Thursday, May 28 for a one-night only show: A Trip to the Unicorn Island World Tour.

She got super famous on YouTube for sketches based on her Indian heritage and playing up antics inspired by her Punjabi parents. It’s not hard to see how she’s managed to get over 677 million views on her YouTube account with her on-point portrayal about everyday culturally and generational conflicts.

Tickets start at $68 but if you’d like to rub shoulders and snap a photo with the comedian, you can pay $180 for a VIP meet and greet package. More info here
