San Diego-based rock band Switchfoot has added Singapore as part of their 2011 tour of the region.
Known for energetic live performances, the band, consisting of Jon Foreman (vocals, guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (guitar, keyboards, backing vox) and Drew Shirley (guitar) will be bringing on ‘The Switchfoot sound’ – a melodic blend of densely layered noise which includes electronic textures, hard-driving guitar riffs and a few spacey ballads for good measure.
From the band’s Grammy nomination and a spot on the RIAA platinum soundtrack to 2000’s A Walk to Remember and achieving double-platinum success (Beautiful Letdown), the band now has been creating music for its eighth album, Vice Verses due for release in June 2011.
The concert is to be held at the Rock Auditorium on April 28, 2011.
