Local F&B wonder The Lo & Behold Group is throwing their first-ever month-long festival next month

Gone are the days when we’d get super excited about the June holidays, because that usually meant going on holidays with the family. These days, the June holidays just means less people on trains and buses during the morning rush. Unless you’ve already made plans for a quick weekend getaway (there’s a long weekend in June thanks to Hari Raya Puasa), chances are, the June holidays isn’t going to mean much to you. That’s why F&B group The Lo & Behold Group is throwing a massive month-long festival on May 29-Jun 25, featuring all 12 of their brands across several events, parties and workshops.

According to a 2015 Forbes report, Singaporeans were listed as the most hardworking people in the world, clocking in an average of 48 work hours per week. This festival, as the group says, is for “when you just cannot adult anymore”, which is great because these guys really know how to throw a party.

For starters, two of Singapore’s most notorious chefs Ming Tan (F&B director of Grain) and Artichoke’s chef-founder Bjorn Shen, will be pitted against each other for the ultimate pizza show down on Jun 2 at Extra Virgin Pizza. The best part? You’ll get to eat their masterpieces for the first two hours of the competition and vote for your favorite. Following that, sign up for an intimate gin workshop (there are only 20 spaces open; tickets are $98 a pop) at The Rabbit Hole on Jun 8 to pick up some tips and tricks (and a brand new G&T cocktail kit) on using greens with sultry Spanish gin, Gin Mare. And of course there’s the partying side of things—head over to Tanjong Beach Club on Jun 18 for a special edition of Smack My Beach Up. Drumming up some killer deep house and disco tunes for some great beachside revelry is multi-talented DJ and producer Elli Arakawa who started the Duce nights at club Air on her homeground, an essential club night for techno lovers.
