Art is coming to the heartlands and from now till Mar 27, there are 27 activities happening at Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Jurong, Yew Tee, Woodlands, Tanglin Halt, Bedok and Bishan.
Organized by the National Arts Council, the lineup includes highlights like interactive art installations, pop-up performances and open-air film screenings, all focusing on the history and culture of each neighborhood. At Toa Payoh, you can sign up for a music and storytelling walk around the area, which covers the iconic Dragon Playground (Mar 20), or you can also look out for an impromptu jazz, pop and world performance by local band Rit Xu Group at Bishan (Mar 24). Also not to be missed: Objectifs is holding an outdoor cinema screening of films and live music by homegrown artists at Toa Payoh Amphitheatre (Mar 27).
