There are two exciting art parties happening in Singapore this month

First, Art After Dark is back at  Gillman Barracks on Sep 25 from 7:00-11:00pm. Besides the usual exhbition by galleries in the area, there are talks by curators and artists at Sundaram Tagore Gallery and Michael Janssen Gallery, interactive programmes and activities by new tenants Art Outreach and Playeum from 4:00-8:00pm, live music acts like local jazz and soul funk band The Steve McQueens, a market featuring home grown retailers like design-centric store Supermama and design magazines and books institution Basheer Graphic Books. The cherry on top would be Soukout, a Middle Eastern street food and bazaar by Red Baron Cafe and bar and an after party with DJ collective Darker Than Wax. More information here.

On Sep 26, the Peranakan Museum is hosting a Secret Party from 10:00pm and of course, it’s a Peranakan-themed affair. The not-quite-secret event line-up includes tunes by DJ Tinc, a comedy showcase by local comedian and host Hossan Leong, with Peranakan-inspired drinks by Bitters & Love. It’s a ticketed event, so register here.
