We wrote about the gorgeous English countryside-inspired restaurant, garden and bar otherwise known as Summerhouse, and the sister outlet of the highly Instagrammable establishment Wheeler’s Yard), Wheeler’s Estate, both of which opened at the leafy The Oval @ Seletar Aerospace Park. This time, the estate is hosting an open-air carnival on Mar 11, which comprises of fun-filled activities, lots of food and drinks, and prizes to be won.
One of the highlights include an outdoor movie screening by MovieMob, who also organized a few other outdoor movie events like the ones at Marina Barrage, Chinatown Food Street and White Sands. They’re bringing back their Movie Under the Stars concept, where you get to watch Up under the stars on the mats that will be laid out. Food wise, you can choose to have some grub provided by The Summerhouse’s casual cafe Wildseed, Wheeler’s Estate and Youngs Bar & Restaurant (a European restaurant also located at the estate) or make full use of the free-flowing popcorn and candy floss. After you’ve replenished your energy, you will be ready for the bossaball challenge where you can gather a team of five to seven to try out the mixed sport of volleyball, soccer and gymnastics and get a $5 dining voucher for each player registered. You might also stand a chance to win $350 worth of The Oval dining vouchers. Other activities include hands-on workshops, balloon sculpting, pet adoption and donation drive that will support the Jurong Island project by SOSD and Noah’s Ark CARES to take care of the dogs and a photo booth.
