The internationally acclaimed Disney musical The Lion King will be setting the stage ablaze on Mar 3 next year and tickets are now on sale to the public. The Lion King first wowed audiences in 1994 when it was produced as an animated film. In 1997, director and designer Julie Taymor transformed the film into a spectacular theatrical experience, translating the African Savannah into convincing, groundbreaking stage set. Performed in most parts of the world including Paris and London, The Lion King is finally coming to Singapore, bringing with it that familiar Disney soundtrack we all remember and love, with a few modern classics woven into it.
