Where to spend your Singles Day monies this 11.11

Somehow, our consumerist society has convinced us that if you’re single, you deserve to treat yourself. Frankly, we think you should treat yourself if you’re happily attached too—but in any case, if the stores of the world want to hand us sales and discounts on a silver platter for “Singles Day”, we’re not going to refuse. Here are all the 11.11 deals to check out.

Zalora (Nov 9-12)

The e-commerce giant’s annual sales event should come as no surprise. This year, look forward to exclusive deals on more than 100 top fashion and beauty brands—including offers of up to 70% on brands like Topshop & Topman, Mango, Benefit, Laneige, Superdry and more. The sale has already gone live on the Zalora website and mobile app, so shop away.

KopiPass (Nov 11)

If you were still debating on signing up for an ever-useful coffee subscription service, Singles Day might be the best time to take that leap. Local startup KopiPass wants to celebrate friendships—and give you a coffee on the house to do so. Simply register for a free account, refer a friend in-app, and both you and your friend will get a complimentary drink credit (worth up to $6), once your friend registers for an account too. If you already have an account, fret not; the referrals work for new KopiPass users, so all you have to do is invite a completely new user. Don’t forget to redeem your drink by the end of Nov 11.

L’Entrecote Singapore (Nov 11)

It’s not a sale; it’s even better—free-flow French fries. If you need munchies to go with your free cuppa, everyone’s favorite steak frites bistro is happy to oblige. Check out how to be a part of the fried potato goodness here.

Tmall (Nov 11)

Taobao fans, hang tight. Forget Ezbuy and head straight to Tmall, China’s largest B2C e-commerce platform that launched here in June, for their 11.11 Global Shopping Festival. The platform under Alibaba Group promises the best of the Taobao Marketplace—without the hassle of dealing with foreign credit cards, or the external agent fees. From 00:00 to 23:59 on Nov 11, the one-day only event will see discounts across all product categories such as apparel, home & living and consumer electronics, discount coupons, as well as cashback offers for specific credit card holders. Access the sale through Taobao Marketplace or the Mobile Taobao app.

Deliveroo (Nov 11)

For a very limited time period on Singles Day, you can get hearty fried chicken for just $1. Deliveroo and Popeyes have partnered up to bring Singaporeans starved from bargain-hunting some dirt-cheap sustenance, available only from 2:11pm to 4:11pm. For a single dollar, you can get a one-piece spicy fried chicken, garlic rice, regular mashed potatoes and a Pepsi, delivered anywhere island-wide, within Deliveroo’s current areas of operation. There’s no minimum order required and the delivery fee will be automatically deducted from your order. We’ll be poised and waiting at 2:10pm.

Lazada (Nov 11)

Over one million items in inventory, up to 90% off, 110 flash deals, and $110 vouchers to be won. If there’s one site worth camping on the entire day, it’s probably Lazada. Starting from 8am, flash sales will run every two hours. There are also 27 surprise boxes curated from some of Lazada’s best brands, worth $100 but sold at $29. Some new brands to join the website are Lego, Body Shop, Shiseido and Origins—but you can also shop directly from Taobao in English. By the end of the day, you’ll be glad you don’t have a significant other to spend on.
