[Updated] Beer lovers, your annual excuse to glug pints of weizen and chow down on platters of sausage is here again. Oktoberfest (which, true fact, is celebrated in mid-September) is kicking off this weekend with parties at all the usual places. These are the ones to catch.

Fancy some good food along with your beer? Head down to Singapore’s award-winning brewery to enjoy beer roasted chicken, or crispy pork knuckle, and other American style dishes with a pint of specially brewed beer, to make the most of your Oktoberfest celebrations.

PARKROYAL on Pickering’s Oktoberfest and Bavarian Feast (Sep 19-Oct 2)

PARKROYAL on Pickering is hopping on the Oktoberfest celebration bandwagon with their own Oktoberfest event at Lime on weekdays between Sep 19-30 (from 6-9pm), with unlimited servings of Tiger Beer and German classics like the Erdinger Weissbier and its dunkel version. And if you come with three friends, you’ll get a German platter consisting of an assortment of Germand sausages, cold cuts and Kartoffel Salad, on the house.

Following that on Oct 1-2 (4:30pm-9pm), the outdoor terrace on the hotel’s fifth floor will be turned into a carnival-style Oktoberfest affair with an extensive repertoire of German sausages, pork knuckles, veal and chicken schnitzel, Koenigsbergs (german meatballs topped with creamy caper sauce), as well as drinks and games.

Erdinger Oktoberfest (Sep 21-Oct 28)

If you prefer your Oktoberfest drinking in the air-conditioned confines of a mall or anywhere near it, pay attention to the line-up by Erdinger. They are doing events at Suntec City, Clarke Quay Central, The Star Vista—over a period of six weeks. Expect a street-party beer garden, booths serving Erdinger beers (obviously) and special tasting menus with the mall’s restaurants. For a classic silly Instagram moment, look for the Erdinger BARcycle (which will also serve the special edition Erdinger Oktoberfest Brew), a mobile bar that brings the party to you. Party-goers will be picked as it travels along a designated route as you sip on your wheat beer.

Oktoberfest at Paulaner Brahaus Singapore (Sep 23-Oct 1)

It’s the 17th year that Singapore’s only German microbrewery and restaurant is holding Oktoberfest at its Millenia Walk outlet, complete with 6000 liters of freshly-brewed Oktoberfest Bier, a special menu prepared by executive chef Klaus Lukarsch and modern Bavarian tunes by Scharivari Sextett, a band from Munich.

Brotzeit Vivocity’s Oktoberfest Party Weekend (Sep 29-Oct 2)

Brotzeit Vivocity is decking out its interior with traditional blue and white checks and bringing in some live German-style entertainment. But if you’re not up for kicking your heels, devour their Oktoberfest Platter which includes oven-roasted pork knuckles and beer-infused Bavarian honey ribs. Wash it all down with their iconic once-a-year brew, Spatenbräu Oktoberfest Ur-Märzen. Don’t forget to say prost.

If you feel like staying out late to celebrate Oktoberfest, head over to Resorts World Sentosa, where they’ll be having their first Oktoberfest all the way till 2am. Of course there’ll be a buffet of schnitzels, sauerkraut and more to much on, as well as four special bratwursts created by restaurants around the area like Forest, Osia Steak and Seafood Grill, Curate and Fratelli – Trattoria and Pizzeria. Play some beer pong while grooving to the tunes of German band Ois Easy.

Oktoberfest at Clarke Quay (Oct 7-8)

Clarke Quay is throwing its annual free-for-all Oktoberfest party where you round up your work buddies, line your stomachs with usual suspects like pork knuckles drenched in beer gravy and sausage platters before hitting a pint or three of Paulaner’s special brew, the Oktoberfest Bier. On the live music front, there’s Die Dorf Fest Kapelle, a traditional, five-piece, brassy German “oom-pah” band that will belt out traditional Oktoberfest tunes and top 40s covers. 

Oktoberfest Asia 2016 (Oct 13-15)

If you prefer to party outdoors, you’ll be pleased to know that Oktoberfest Asia 2016 is back this year on a larger scale, with an air-conditioned festival-style marquee located at the open field next to Tan Quee Lan Street (opposite Bugis Junction). Expect free-flow beers such as Schneider Weisse, Weihenstephaner and Paulaner Bräuhaus. Dig into their authentic Bavarian food while being entertained by the Hofbrauhaus Band from Munich.
