The X30 Challenge will be back on Mar 12 at the usual place, which is Kranji’s KF1 Karting Circuit. What makes this second race from the first is that it is now the first internationally-sanctioned go-kart race in the city, with approval from the CIK-FIA, the governing body for go-karting.
While last year was a regional competition, this year’s competition is for international drivers. There are five categories, including the Senior, Master and Veteran ones, which are for racers aged 15, 30 and 45 respectively. If you’d like to sign up, it’s $750 per round or $3,300 for all five rounds throughout the year.
Like last year, the top prize is the deLaCour Limited Edition X30 Champion’s Timepiece (that fancy Swiss luxury watch valued at S$28,800). Other prizes include IAME vouchers, Komet tyres, and more than $30,000 in cash prizes, with snazzy trophies as well.
The other rounds for these races are Apr 16, Jun 4, Aug 20 and 21. If you’re not a racer, find out how you can watch these matches on their official website.
