Freedom Film Festival is back with hard-hitting documentaries from around the world

The annual Freedom Film Festival is back Nov 14-15, with investigative films and documentaries; highlights include 1987: Untracing the Conspiracy, which interviews the 22 people who were arrested by the ISA in 1987, and Portraits of Mosquito Press, where a group of editors set up their own paper to publish what was going on under Ferdinand Marcos’ regime.

The environmentally conscious can also look forward to the Danish film, The Human Scale, which examins the ecological impact that cities have on Earth. Other films include Away from Ayah, featuring a boy who grows up while his father is in prison, and Di Sebalik Runcit examines the disappearing grocery stores of Malaysia.
