Just when everyone thought next year’s line-up of artists coming to Singapore was already massively epic, we’re presented with one last pleasant surprise for 2016 in the form of sultry soul songstress, Alicia Keys. If you haven’t already heard, she’ll be headlining the exciting countdown concert Rock On! 2017 from 5pm to 1am on New Year’s Eve at The Float @ Marina Bay.
The 15-time Grammy Award-winning singer, who just released her sixth studio album Here, will be taking the stage for a 40-minute set as she serenades us with her oh-so-soulful vocals. It’s been eight years since the last time she came, so we’re definitely looking forward to bringing in the New Year with her and hopefully, (fingers crossed) we’ll get to sing along to classic hits like “If I Ain’t Got You”, “Empire State of Mind and “No One’.
Besides Alicia Keys, the gig will also see one more international act who’s yet to be named, as well as a lineup of Asian pop artists like Rainie Yang, Shin, Penny Tai and others. Concert-goers can also expect an eight-minute fireworks spectacle to bid adieu to 2016, and usher in 2017 with a bang.
