Boo Junfeng’s psychological drama Apprentice which competed in Cannes is now showing at Golden Village—it tells the story of a young correctional officer and a hardened executioner. Now in theatres.

 

The play SI WOOF WOOF by Akulah Bimbo Sakti (I Am The Magic Bimbo), showing at The Substation by Noor Effendy Ibrahim, is a visual and performance art piece about a childless couple and a mysterious dog set in a surreal landscape. Jul 1-2

 

Good Times x Darker Than Wax are getting together for Beats N Beyond at BluJaz Cafe to drop their mix of hip hop, juke, grime music and more. Resident DJs William J, Rah, Daryl C and special guest from Bali, Yadin will be on mixing duties. Entry at $5. Jul 1

Greenwood Fish Market & Bistro’s oyster festival returns for its fourth edition with the lofty title of World Oyster Festival, featuring more than 20 varieties. Prices are expected to start at $4 per oyster. Jul 1-31

 

Join Singapura Dub Club in their first celebration of International Reggae Day at Mariko’s withreggae, dub, dancehall and ska, along with acoustic sets by Yella Sky Sound System (Jakarta). Jul 1
