Urban Art is an exhibition featuring contemporary art in an urban landscape. It hopes to bridge the gap between nature and industry in Singapore by presenting artworks fusing city life and nature. The exhibition along Orchard Road will feature outdoor sculptures including Park Chan Gul’s world-renowned sliced steel images, Yi Chul Hee’s abstract sawed pipes, and Lee Gil Rae’s monumental copper pine trees. Inside, on the gallery walls at ION Orchard will be works by street artists Shepard Fairey, the Father of stencil graffiti Blek le Rat, and graffiti artists such as SEEN and C215.
