Yang Fudong: Incidental Scripts

Yang Fudong, a leading contemporary Chinese artist, brings his first major solo exhibition to Southeast Asia at the Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore (CCA Singapore). The exhibition shows four of Yang’s works: An Estranged Paradise (1997-2002) a film that documents a new generation during the rise of China’s bamboo curtain; About an Unknown Girl – Ma Sise (2013-2014) which features pictures and fashion spreads of young Chinese actress Ma Sise; The Fifth Night (II) Rehearsal (2010) a seven-screen installation designed to bring multiple perspectives to the art of film making and On the Double Dragon Hills (2012), a two-screen video that records the lives of workers in Jiaxiang in Shandong Province.

Exhibition tours will be held 14 Jan, 6 Feb and 27 Feb.
