If you missed your chance at snapping up places for his dinner at Sofitel So’s Xperience, here are two more nights of gastronomic food. The man behind the World’s Best Restaurants no. 41 Quique Dacosta whips up a five-course dinner for the Grand Prix’s Podium Lounge. The Spanish three Michelin-starred chef serves up his signature “techno-emotional” cuisine of edible landscapes that includes dishes like The Haze made with pine nuts, raw peas and pig crackling crumble with mushrooms and black truffles; The Hen of the Golden Eggs, a dish composed of a poached egg with chicken-vegetable broth, coffee and gold; and Cuba Libre of Foie Gras, which is one of his signature dishes of foie gras with cream, coca-cola and rum, as well as a granita of lemon and brioche.
The Friday (Sep 19) dinner will be paired with Spanish wines Castell d’Encus, while the Saturday (Sep 20) dinner will be paired with Chateau Margaux wines from Bordeaux.
Although tickets don’t come cheap, prices go for $838 (Sep 19) and $988 (Sep 20). All tickets come with entry to the Podium Lounge that has an admission fee of $218.
