Dementia

In this harrowing film, Hungarian director Kornél Mundruczó uses a heady mix of music, dark humor and fantastic décor to bring forth the issues of morality and the perils of the disabled. Set in post-socialist Hungary, a world famous psychiatric hospital is on the brink of being shut down. Questions like what can society reap from prolonging the lives of mental patients – questions that we, the able-bodied prefer to ignore. This production by award-winning Mundruczo is presented at the Singapore International Festival of Arts 2015.
