The Institute of South Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore is holding a public screening of Maafinama…A Road to Redemption (a story of young Muslim girl’s journey in a small Indian village after she has been attached by a group of men). The screening will be followed by a discussion on “Molestation: Legislation or Humanity, what can cure this social disease?” with panelists Tannishtha Sarkar, the film’s director, and Dr Iftekhar A. Chowdhury, Principal Research Fellow, Institute of South Asian Studies, NUS.
The screening will be held at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) Board Room, #09-06 National University of Singapore, 29 Heng Mui Keng Terrace. The screening is free, but pre-registration is required here.
