This musical, about Singapore’s struggles pre-independence back in the ’50s and ’60s, provides a peek into the lives of ordinary Singaporeans during those trying times against a backdrop of world-class musical numbers. The brainchild of Filipino composer, director and co-founder of the Philippines-based 4th Wall Theatre Company, Ed Gatchalian, it will feature an international cast of Filipino, Singaporean and American actors. Directed by the celebrated American director Greg Ganakas, it also stars veteran local thespian Jonathan Lim (of Chestnuts fame) who also served as a dramaturge in the production.
