Conceived in 1968, Jurong Bird Park was founded with a humble ambition to create a safe haven where Singaporeans could escape urban life. Park attractions included the Waterfall Aviary, with one of the world’s tallest man-made indoor waterfalls, the old Panorail, a monorail system which offered guests panoramic views as it traversed the park, and a sanctuary for some of the world’s most threatened bird species.

Leading up to the park’s closure come January, Jurong Bird Park will be releasing new programmes so we can all embark on A Flight to Remember. Participate in a Nostalgic Signature Tour and let seasoned guides cast your mind back in time with little-known anecdotes about the park’s history, avian friends, and architecture. Exclusive feeding sessions and avian encounters are also available as part of the tour.

Take home a piece of the beloved park, with limited-edition terrariums and medallions that celebrate the park’s milestones, and immortalise the moment at the park’s entrance with a recreation of the old cuckoo clock tower, which doubles as a countdown timer to the park’s final day of operations.
