L’Oréal releases new eye serum to help refresh, depuff and awaken eyes

Finding the right skincare can be a difficult task, especially when it comes to buying the ideal products for your face. There is no right way of purchasing skincare, so it all boils down to the ingredients, their effectiveness, and whether your skin type is suited to the product.

When it comes to your eyes, you need to be even more careful because the skin surrounding them is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of your face. Cue fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet – it’s a delicate problem, literally.

To address your eye care needs, L’Oréal Paris has released a new product to their Revitalift collection: the Revitalift 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid Eye Serum. Following the success of the Revitalift 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum, L’Oréal has formulated an eye serum with 2.5% hyaluronic acid, 4% niacinamide, and caffeine to tackle common skin concerns around the eyes.

Here’s a breakdown of the three main ingredients in this serum:

Hyaluronic acid: This is a powerful ingredient renowned for its exceptional hydrating properties with its ability to attract and retain moisture, and enhance skin’s elasticity. It can also restore our natural moisture barrier, resulting in firmer and more supple skin over time.

Niacinamide: This ingredient is a form of vitamin B-3 with brightening, hydrating, and smoothing properties. Niacinamide can also help to lighten hyperpigmentation.

Caffeine: We are all familiar with caffeine from our cup of coffee, but when used as a skincare ingredient, it can decrease puffiness and awaken the eyes, giving you a more refreshed and revitalised look.

But perhaps the most interesting thing about the product is not the serum itself but the applicator. It consists of three stainless-steel beads inspired by traditional Japanese Shiatsu massage. Besides cooling the skin and helping your eyes feel more open and awake, the bendable flex angle applies gentle pressure for a full eye-contour massage and better absorption of the serum.

According to LOréal, this non-greasy skincare product is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It is allergy and ophthalmologist tested, and is paraben-, dye-, fragrance-, and mineral oil-free,

LOréal Paris Revitalift 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid Eye Serum is available at all health and beauty retailers, pharmacies and online.
