Distort Monsters

The pop culture scene in Singapore has just gotten a little more exciting with Co Play, a first-of-its-kind creative habitat for local artists located at Plaza Singapura.

Serving as the space for pop art and culture development, Co Play is described as a “melting pot for artists and collectors to connect and interact” and to “inspire new creative journeys into the world of pop culture art”. It is set to inject much needed vibrancy into the local art scene.

Co Play also aims to bring art to life through exploration and collaborations by being the enabling platform for new creative talents exploring the world of designer art toys, and for established artists to dive deeper into the world of Intellectual Property creation.

It has, for instance, partnered with artist Taketo Kobayashi to launch an initiative called Proto Toyz to create bespoke artworks and limited-edition collectibles for renowned local artists.
