Fitting in nicely with boutique hotel The Vagabond Club’s sophisticated yet offbeat look and feel is The Whisky Library, a showcase of over a thousand whisky bottlings from all over the world, curated by the hotel’s founder.
An extension of the lobby space occupied by Bar Vagabond (which offers Asian-inspired cocktails), The Whiskey Library is meant for connoisseurs to admire rare and exclusive labels housed behind vitrines hand-crafted by a local woodsman, as well as being a place to store your own private stash of spirits in lockers that can accommodate up to 15 bottles each.
Central to the concept is a membership program. What you get for an annual $3,000 fee are privileged access to the aforementioned lockers (only 80 are available), special pricings on whiskies sold there (for every two bottles bought, you can stash one of your own), reserved seating at their events, access to the hotel gym, as well as 10 transferable room nights.
Other than whiskies, the salon offers a selection of other spirits such as gin, a selection of bites, and also cigars to complement your sessions here.
