The buzz: Taking up residence at 1-Altitude, this new alfresco drinking spot—Singapore’s first Heineken designer bar—takes its cue from the “Heineken Open Design explorations edition 1: The Club” project, a design initiative that pushes the boundaries of a nightclub with unexpected, vibrant concepts.
The décor: New York-based designer Lee Gibson is the brains behind the origamiinspired décor. Influenced by the distinctive triangular shape of 1-Altitude, The edge’s three-dimensional, geometric façade lends a modern-chic vibe to the clean, minimalist interiors of the rooftop bar.
The drinks: Heineken, of course, is on tap at The edge and bartenders are reportedly trained to ensure consistency and quality in beer pouring and pulling. 1-Altitude’s main bar serves up a wide variety of cocktails (from $16), spirits (from $16), wines (from $16), champagne ($30) and other bottled beers ($16).
The music: A mix of trippy lounge music and dance tracks adds to the classy, laid-back setting.
The crowd: Corporate execs fill the space on weeknights for post-work drinks, while weekends see a mix of tourists and wellheeled locals.
Why you’ll be back: Killer views on the world’s highest rooftop bar and ice-cold Heineken in a chilled-out ambiance—perfect for winding down after work.
