The buzz: John Lee, who brought us Club Momo, Venom and China Black, is back in business with new luxe club Silk bringing a dash of nightlife decadence to Orchard Road.The décor: Leather booth seating, plush interiors, a generous bar and huge-ass sofas.The music: Resident jocks DJ Anisma and DJ ADK spin a medley of Top 40 dance music, R&B and classic dance anthems till 2:30am, before they put on some serious earwax with house and progressive dance tunes till 6am.The drinks: Down shots of Silk’s signature shooters like Illusion, Kamikaze and Sex on the Beach with your pals. They come in handy bottles ($80) which guarantees you about 25 generous servings of the sweet nectar.The crowd: Hotel guests, curious locals, university students, models and the odd socialite can be spotted here. The ladies’ nights here are fast becoming one of the more popular ones in town: Ladies get complimentary entry as well as four free drinks. If you come with four BFFs, you’ll get a bottle of your favorite shooter cocktail in addition to the four drinks each.Why you’ll be back: It’s been a while since we had a proper dance-club in Orchard Road (not counting the lap-sap ones in neighboring Orchard Towers) that opens till sunrise.
