The Science Centre and Snow City may have already reopened (as of Jul 17), but not all of us are ready to head out and mingle with the crowds just yet. Especially when you have the little ones in tow.
Thankfully, the annual Singapore Science Festival, marking its 20th edition this year, is going fully digital for the very first time, so you can still keep the tots entertained and educated even while staying safe at home. Did we also mention it’s completely free?
Happening from Jul 25-Aug 8, the Singapore Science Festival 2020 will feature over 30 interactive hands-on experiments, immersive live shows and virtual exhibitions, ensuring there’s something for kids of any age.
A good portion of the activities are available 24/7 on their website, so just head on over anytime during the event dates to check ’em out. There’s the trademark Science Buskers Festival, for instance, where students young and older do a science-related show-and-tell on video. You can watch and vote for the ones you think are best.
Be sure not to miss the limited-time activities too. There’s a virtual record breaking activity you can be a part of on Aug 8, 4-5pm. Join in the Zoom session and take part in a “Magic Milk” experiment and just maybe, you’ll be part of setting the “Most number of people doing a science experiment together on an online platform” record.
Many more events await. For the full list of activities and ongoing exhibitions happening at the Singapore Science Festival 2020, head on over to their website starting Jul 25.
