A giant tepee BBQ pit, grilled durian and more at Sentosa GrillFest 2019

Leave the barbeque pit bookings alone and stow away your backyard grills; Sentosa’s annual beachfront BBQ food festival is back for its biggest, longest edition yet.

From three weekends last year to stretching over four weekends this year—including Fridays—the Sentosa GrillFest 2019, happening Jul 19-Aug 12, will be a giant bonanza filled with grilled eats, booze and entertainment.

Expect 27 F&B establishments (up from 21 last year) to set up shop along the entire 1km Siloso Beach stretch of road, with six of them popping up on the sandy shores itself for the first time. Vendors include favourites like FOC Sentosa, Papi’s Tacos and Homeground Grill, as well as exclusive offerings like a massive Gelato Bomb from Gelatissimo and charcoal-grilled durian from Durian Edition.

But this year’s highlight has got to be the 3m-tall tepee BBQ pit found on the beach, where chef Jeremy Cheok from Slake will be cooking up a feast. There’ll be a gourmet market too, where you can select raw ingredients for chefs to cook onsite. Then wash it all down with a Sentosa exclusive beer, the Siloso Saison Blanc, brewed by Brewerkz.

With movie screenings by the beach every night of the event and roving performances to keep you entertained, this is one sure way to fill up your days.

Sentosa GrillFest 2019 takes place along Siloso Beach, 4-11pm every weekend from Jul 19-Aug 12, including Fridays and Public Holidays.
