AdstraGold Microbrewery and Ramen Chef: For the DIY diner

We write about a lot of new openings here at I-S. And at some point, you might want to get into an F&B investment of your own. So here’s an opportunity: Local boutique beer maker AdstraGold Microbrewery is looking to expand their bistro bar at East Coast and open three new brewpub locations.

Chia Shee Yap, the managing director for sales and marketing at AdstraGold, says, “We are seeking investors—with or without F&B and entrepreneurial experience—for non-executive or advisory roles. Fund managers are also welcome. Plus, we want chefs and managers to participate with minority ownership of the outlets.”

They would need investors and fund managers to contribute $100,000 to $500,000 and chefs and managers to give $20,000 to $50,000. If you’re up for it, email [email protected].

Alternatively, Ramen Chef’s also offering a chance to learn how to make Tonkotsu ramen professionally. Their website claims, “On completion of this class, the students should be able to prepare and cook, and even setup a Japanese ramen restaurant…”

Just be sure you’re really ready. It takes some cojones to get into the F&B industry. Goodness knows that restaurants can be a thankless and soul-sucking business, with plenty of searing cooking burns, long hours and unappreciative customers. But if you know that’s where your passion lies, there are some perks. Free-flow beer and noodles anyone?
