The place was nearly empty (one other table) when we visited, and it’s a bit strange sitting there in the light of day (it’s a nightclub, basically), but the Hood Signature Wagyu Burger at Hood Bar and Café is really nice, definitely worth the trip up five flights of escalators—served with excellent fries, too. We’d gladly recommend it (even if they weren’t a new advertiser…) at $18 but it’s even easier at buy-one-get-one-free, that and other dishes like ribs and spaghetti and even lamb chops. Also note the offer runs from noon all the way to 6pm. We suggest getting there at 5pm, then you get the lunch deal and wash it down with “Crazy Hour” housepour spirits, wines and draft beer at $5.
