D. Bespoke
A Japanese bar takes over Bukit Pasoh with cocktails by Japanese bartender Daiki Kanetaka of Beijing’s famed Glenn Bar and Glen Classic. Specializing in sherry, calvados and armagnac, everything is created according to your mood and palate (in true bespoke style). It’s also every bit a gentleman’s den with dark wood furnishings, tufted leather high chairs and dim geometric lampshades.
KUVO
There’s a new cocktail bar opening up in the heart of Orchard. Interestingly located in Orchard Shopping Centre, the slightly dingy-looking building between 313@Somerset and H&M, KUVO will provide a quiet respite from the crazy shopping scene. Details are a little sketchy at the moment, but expect the usual bespoke cocktail treatment in a slightly off-kilter location. Cocktails aside, this restaurant section will also serve semi-fine dining European cuisine. Expect to see the bar fully open by December.
LongPlay
The restaurant and hospitality group Unlisted Collection has a new bar in the works. LongPlay is set to open in the Haji Lane neighborhood and this time, it’s not just another cocktail bar. Following the success of the group’s other ventures (among them are The Library, Esquina and The Market Grill) this one will have a chill, music-centric vibe with plenty of beers, wines and cocktails.
