8 places in Singapore where you can still do Oktoberfest

You may have missed the big Oktoberfest party earlier this month at Clarke Quay. But that doesn’t mean you have no more options for beer, bratwurst, pork knuckles and occasional lederhosen and maypole dancing. Here’s where to go for your fill of kitsch.

Rise (Oct 15)

Rise at Marina Bay Sands is having an outdoor barbecue ($72). The menu includes smoke garlic and porked sausage, bratwurst and cheese Krainer, along with apple strudel and lots of beer.

The Beer Garden at Fullerton Hotel (Oct 17)

This Oktoberfest Jamboree ($20 online, $25 at the door) is all about loud music and hearty food. Dishes include frankfurter sausage with potato salad and Bavarian potato salad. Food prices range from $8-$18.

Alligator Pear (until Oct 18)

Fairmont Singapore’s poolside restaurant, Alligator Pear, is doing stuff like crispy pork belly and grilled German sausage, along with Erdinger Weissbier beer. Beers and a snack go together at $30+. If you knock off work early, go for the happy hour from 3pm-9pm.

Bridge Bistro (until Oct 18)

The Bridge Bistro at the Singapore Yacht Club has an Oktoberfest set lunch or dinner involving pork knuckles and sausage platters as well as a half pint of beer. There’s also a special event on Oct 16, where you can drink all you want from 7pm-11pm ($99).

RedDot BrewHouse (until Oct 30)

The RedDot BrewHouse is filled with all things German this month; for starters, there’s a buffet and live German music at Dempsey and Clark Quay. You can get the the Oktoberfest Grilled Platter ($90) that comes with either crispy pork knuckles, beer brined pork belly with sauerkraut and mustard or grilled mackerel. Vienna and Marzen beers are available, too. If you’re broke, come in full Oktoberfest gear for a free pint.

Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe (until Oct 30)

Located at the Rendezvous Hotel Gallery, the Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe is offering a free flow of Swabian cuisine, beer, wine and even non-acloholic drinks. Pay $88 to taste everything in the spread, or $50 if you’re abstaining from alcohol. There are also games, a live band and a lucky draw.

sQue Rotisserie & Alehouse (until Oct 31)

sQue‘s outlet at The Central is doing an over-the-top platter of smoked spicy chicken sausages, pork and beat meatballs as well as a side of pork knucles with french fries. This also comes with a 500ml bottle of Benediktiner Weissbier.

Old Boys Gallery (until Oct 31)

Carnivores, Old Boys Gallery has come up with a knuckle up platter ($69) that has pork knuckles (what else?) and three types of sausages, including lamb, beef and chorizo. There is also sauerkraut, German potato with crispy bacon, along with some vegetables and rosemary jus, raita sauce and curry mustard. If you order the knuckle up platter, your fourth pint of beer will be free.
