With a variety of options like donburi and butter chicken curry rice, Muji’s new 10,600 sq. ft Cafe&Meal outlet at Raffles City sure knows the way to a Singaporean’s heart (through the long queue, of course).
Muji’s storefront in Raffles City
A meal at Cafe&Meal Muji is not at the very top of our list of favorite things, but it’s exciting to note that the cafe is part of Singapore’s 10th Muji store, which houses a selection of clothes, homeware, lifestyle items and more. Forget about buying the standard products—you can customize sofa covers, rugs and curtains by picking the kind of design, size, material and color that suits your fancy. And finally, Muji bicycles and products from the Found Muji collection that were usually available anywhere but Singapore, will finally make its way to this flagship store soon.
Baked Salmon with Miso Sauce ($4.80)
Just like the first Cafe&Meal Muji at Paragon, this 70-seater eatery will have the usual deli sets ($7.80-$16.90) that consists of a combination of rice, soup, a hot and a cold deli, on top of the new dishes that’re planned to be introduced and the current ones like roasted tea pudding ($5.40), baked salmon with miso sauce ($4.80) and iced ryukyu chai ($4.90).
Muji currently has more than 300 stores around the world, and has plans to continue expanding in Singapore by opening at least two new stores a year, and making the current ones bigger to accommodate space for books and their health and beauty products.
The second Cafe&Meal Muji is at Raffles City #02-20/20A/22. Opening hours: 10am-10pm daily, last order at 9:15pm.
