Hipster dining joint Ronin stands out in nightlife hotspot Hongkong Street for its brunch offerings and underground vibe with no obvious signage, no phone number, no email address, nothing.
Decked out in wood and concrete, Ronin is brought to you by the same folks behind The Plain and The Bravery. All-day breakfast is available, including items like scrambled eggs on toast ($9) with the sides of your choice (choose from bacon, avocado, portobello mushroom, and more), sandwiches like the Dirty Ronin ($12) that have spicy pork chorizo, miso mayonnaise, gruyere, soft egg and romaine lettuce, as well as French toast ($14) with braised green apples, bacon and hazelnut butter. You can expect more creations to soon be added to the menu.
For the java, all choices are espresso-based and crafted from Genovese coffee beans imported from Melbourne. Special drinks include Wicked ($5.50), mint-infused mocha, and Matchatone ($5.50), Ronin’s take on the ever-popular green tea latte.
