Argentinean restaurant Bochinche now open on Martin Road, just upstairs of new café and roastery Common Man Coffee Roasters (a collab between 40 Hands’ Harry Grover and Australian roaster Five Senses).
The 100-seat restaurant, a project by the Spa Esprit Group and chef Diego Jacquet, (whose London eateries Zoilo and Casa Malevo draw rave reviews) offers plates like beef carpaccio with papaya, olives and artichokes ($23), braised pig head croquettes with quince ($15), grilled octopus and tuna mayo ($23), and veal sweetbreads with onion salad and preserved lemon ($27).
There’s also a hearty beef chimichurri burger ($28) with sharp provolone cheese. And thoughtfully put together desserts from light milk cake with passion fruit sorbet ($15) to rich dulce de leche crème brulee and banana split ice cream ($17).
