New bespoke cocktail bar Bitters & Love is now open on North Canal Road opposite Hong Lim Park.
Helmed by Din Hassan (who has over 20 years of hospitality experience), the 60-seat bar specializes in bespoke drinks and has no menu. Their concoctions are priced at $20 or under and feature seasonal fruits as well as premium spirits. To go along with the tipples, there’s a small tapas menu which will be updated every three months. Music-wise, the watering hole plays upbeat jazz and smooth tunes from the 90s.
Also opening at the end of December (at the same address), is restaurant Shoebox Canteen, which seats 30 persons. It features modern decor details with plenty of steel, double glass mirrors and long wooden communal tables. The menu includes a mix of Western and local dishes.
