Jointly introduced with traditional local bakery Pine Garden, Minor Food Singapore’s City Donut is inspired by retro bakes to create new spins on the classic donut. Think popular options such as the sugar coated donut holes, but also Singaporean-inspired desserts like Orh Nee and Pandan Ondeh Ondeh. Already beloved since its recent debut last year, this is the place to be for a simple treat alongside a fresh cuppa joe.
Doughnut Shack
A hipster specialty donut store tucked away in Whampoa, Doughnut Shack is your best bet for decadent bomboloni and beignets. Except that’s not all. The shop also sells cake donuts, donut holes and other classic finds; do try to pre-order your preferred selection as these desserts sell fast.
Fluff Bakery
Perhaps best known for its halal-friendly cupcakes, this humble shop along Jalan Pisang also sells some of the most delectable donuts around. Here, try popular flavours like the Strawberry Cream Pie or the New York Cheesecake; signatures like the Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Hazelnut are worthy options too.
Haritts Donuts & Coffee
Launched in Singapore some three years ago, Tokyo-hailing Haritts Donuts & Coffee at Havelock Road is best known for its modern Japanese donuts. That means less wacky flavours, and more handmade, fluffy ones such as the Pistachio and Cream Cheese. On Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, Haritts also doles out donuts at Paya Lebar Quarter’s Komma, so Easties may easily get their dessert fix.
Korio
Cult favourite Korio focuses on just three items at its bakery: artisanal donuts, sandwiches and coffee. These mouth-watering goodies speak for themselves; just remember to pre-order your preferences early as these treats run out fast.
Puffs and Peaks
Formerly a home bakery, Puffs and Peaks (which is now located at Tampines Central Community Complex) moved into its retail space in order to fulfill its high demand of donut orders. Here, savour delights like the custard cream donuts available in flavours such as Matcha and Taro; these highly-raved bakes are so popular, they actually sell out shortly after noon daily.
