Goodbye bubble tea, hello thick and decadent shakes

Hailed as the healthier alternative to bubble tea, rice yoghurt beverages have not only leapt onto the scene, but exploded within the last couple of months. To enjoy one of these nutritious yoghurt shakes, head to any of these seven spots in Singapore, where you’re guaranteed a creamy cup packed with probiotics and vitamins, and which could easily double as a meal.

Hayo

Made from 100 percent Australian milk sourced from farms located in Victoria, expect nothing short of fresh, wholesome cups of artisanal yoghurt smoothies from Hayo. On their menu are fruity and refreshing options including the Peachy Paradise that comes with real peach bits as well as the Avo-Cardio which is an elevated version of the now popular avocado shakes. Those who enjoy a zesty, citrus flavour should also try the signature Yuzu Beautiful.

Hey Yogurt

Residents of the West can indulge in some creamy yoghurt goodness thanks to Hey Yogurt, now located at Jurong Point. Utilising premium Australian dairy, the brand also ensures freshness by making their yoghurt daily. Try some of their locally-inspired options, like the Rose Bandung and Pulut Hitam Yogurt.

Super Dream

After a productive day of shopping, reward yourself with a refreshing smoothie from Bugis Street’s Super Dream. You’ll find over 10 different flavours of yoghurt with purple rice, such as the Strawberry Yogurt with Purple Rice, and Kiwi Yogurt with Purple Rice.

Yanmi Yogurt

Yanmi Yogurt’s store at the recently-revamped Funan mall is so aesthetically-pleasing, you’ll be hard-pressed not to flaunt your cute cuppa against the gorgeous backdrop on Instagram. All drinks here are made from Australian milk and the purple rice utilised in selected drinks are specially imported from Mojiang, so rest assured that everything here is of high quality. The Chewy Oats Yogurt is one of the best options on the menu, and the Dirty Dragon Fruit Yogurt is a solid choice for fruit lovers.

Yomie’s Rice x Yogurt

One of the first purple rice yoghurt labels to go global, Yomie’s Rice x Yogurt already has more than 100 outlets worldwide, with four in Singapore. The most popular is without a doubt the Yomie’s Purple Rice Yogurt, although we recommend trying the more unique Pure Jujube Yogurt, that features jujube fruits, aka Chinese dates.

Yoori Yogurt @ The Centrepoint

If purple rice or oat yoghurt beverages aren’t your cup of tea, then try Yoori Yogurt’s Fresh Fruit Soiree Series instead. Using whole, fresh fruit and combining them with the signature Yoori yoghurt blend, each cuppa is a refreshing one filled with probiotics and vitamins. Either head over to The Centrepoint or order through the Foodpanda app to get your fix.

Yumiko Fresh Yoghurt

Yet another joint boasting fresh fruit and Australian/New Zealand-made yoghurt in their smoothies, Yumiko Fresh Yoghurt takes things up a notch by including honey in their drinks which act as a natural sweetener. Just head down to Changi City Point to get a taste of their signature drinks that taste as good as they look; options include the Red Date Oatmeal Yoghurt, Avocado and Melon Yoghurt as well as Strawberry Pulp. Do note that prices are on the high side, although what you’re paying for is truly quality.
