Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse gets a luxe new makeover

There are makeovers, and then there are marvels touched by the hand of God himself. Italian steakhouse Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse edges towards the latter, with a refreshed new look that’s all about upmarket glam.

The change comes five years after their launch in 2012, in a cozy but cute shophouse along Sultan Road. The new place is just one door down, but with a completely refitted interior. A new focus on heritage preserves several elements of the century-old structure—like the exposed brick walls and wood panelling that help create a warm Italian farmhouse feel. The previous dining setup has been upgraded to cushy leather booths that also give you a view of the open-design kitchen and Fiorentina cellar. And no matter the time of day, soft candlelight adds the right touch of intimacy to your meal.

But most importantly, fans of Bistecca can rest easy. Bistecca’s menu will remain largely unchanged, with the mammoth Bistecca alla Fiorentina (a thick cut, chargrilled T-bone steak) staying on as the signature dish. That aside, look forward to a few special additions like fettuccini with smoked pimenton pasta, blue swimmer crab and more. It’s a menu of complete Italian decadence to match the restaurant’s new look.

Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse is located at 26 Mohamed Sultan Road, and is open from 12-2:30pm (Tues-Sat) and 6-10:30pm daily. More info here
