Seems like rooftop bars are in again: il Lido Group’s new Boat Quay alfresco bar Southbridge (80 Boat Quay) is slated to open in October with plenty of juleps, mojitos and wines. Expect bar bites like lobster rolls, prawn tacos and even freshly-shucked oysters to get you through the evening.
Over at Four Seasons, they’ve launched their penthouse poolside bar parties with cocktails and light bites in the middle of Orchard Road. Another hotel bar getting in on the rooftop action is the CBD’s hot new hotel, Sofitel So with Hi So, a Wednesday ladies’ night Ruinart Champagne party.
Potato Head Folk also capitalize on their prime rooftop space at Keong Saik with Folk Apéro, a two-hour aperitif slot from 5-7pm, with shared bottled cocktails and the barkeeps’ cocktail of the week.
If rooftops aren’t your thing, Bacchanalia has rolled out a new B Bar menu with dishes like steak & eggs, fish & chips, pan tumaca buratta and their famous B Burger. They’ve also got a new ladies night on Wednesday with glasses of Vintage 2006 Moet & Chandon.
Dempsey’s garden party-esque bar The Green Door has also launched a new garden-inspired menu with fresh cocktails like Passion in the Garden (made with gin, Pimm’s, passionfruit pulp, fresh pineapple, rose syrup and rosemary) and Summer Lovin’ (with vodka, tequila, fresh mangosteen, peaches, lime juice and mint leaves).
