On top of its popular seafood and zhi char offerings, the halal eatery now serves up breakfast classics and waffles with gelato at their newest E!Hub Downtown East outlet – also their first restaurant outlet.
The main highlight of the restaurant has got to be its in-house replica mama shop filled with rows of nostalgic memories. Browse through shelves of childhood snacks and vintage toys from the good ol’ days when times were simpler.
Old-school metal mailboxes, bird cages that double up as lights, classic public phones of the past, and common prohibited signs found at most HDB void decks decorate the restaurant – perfect for capturing those insta-shots while waiting for food to be served.
Start off the day right with their Champion Breakfast Set, which comes with chicken chipolata, sauteed mushrooms, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and other delicious breakfast staples piled atop a plate.
The breakfast menu also includes buttery Breakfast Croissants that come with creamy chicken and mushroom filling, or an NY Cheese Moo croissant that’s filled with succulent beef slices and nacho cheese.
It’s not a meal at Buey Tahan if you don’t get to feast on their signature zhi char dishes. Here, diners can tuck into the usual mouth-watering stars like their Prawn Paste Chicken, Claypot Beancurd, and Chilli or Pepper Crab.
