Cafe and vintage furniture store Carpenter and Cook opens on Lorong Kilat

Vintage home store and café Carpenter and Cook opened on Singapore’s Lorong Kilat on June 16. The homey spot sells pre-21st century furniture and rustic home-baked goods.
The place is a venture by three ladies: Cordon Bleu-trained chef, Sim Li-Shenn, vintage buyer, Phoebe Teo and operations manager, Eunice Yeo. Their retro furniture is handpicked and mostly sourced from the United Kingdom.
Baked goods are made from scratch on-premises and include items like lemon drizzle cake ($5) as well as scones with butter and homemade jam ($4). For a more substantial bite, try their quiche ($7) or sandwiches ($9). Available for retail sale are preservative-free packaged goods such as jams ($12.50) and marshmallows ($6).
