From DIY milkshakes to egg coffee and Milo bolo buns

Sometimes, all we need is a quick snack when we are out and about or a fuss-free takeaway for casual get-togethers. Pop by these places and pick up special treats that’ll get you in a celebratory mood any time of the year. Note that some are only available for a limited time so grab them while you can.

Mrs Pho Cafe

But first, coffee. Mrs Pho brings Vietnam’s famous Egg Coffee—an indulgent drink made with egg yolks, condensed milk and coffee beans—to our sunny island, as well as creamy Avocado Coffee, and the naturally sweet Coconut Coffee. With a sprawling menu of over 20 drinks and other tasty traditional foods like Banh Mi sandwiches (from $3.50), you’ll feel like you’re right in the middle of a quaint Vietnamese cafe yourself.

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer

For the first time, you can make your own crazy milkshake, just like the ones served at this New York City institution. Bring home the CrazyShake Kit ($50+) that’s available in two popular flavours, The Brooklyn Blackout and The Cake Shake and let your imagination go wild. Each kit comes with two milkshakes, toppings, fixings and an instruction card for a fun experience at home. Purchase this kit directly at the restaurant or via the Marina Bay Sands Gourmet Takeaway Platform.

Joy Luck Teahouse

Its third outlet at Causeway Point offers two exclusive products made with a favourite beverage of Singaporeans. The Milo Yin Yang (from $4.30) can be served hot or cold, and is made with quality coffee, premium tea and Milo chocolate malt. The Milo Pineapple Bun ($2.50) is similar to authentic Hong Kong pineapple buns except it boasts a generous filling of Milo powder and sugar.

Junior The Pocket Bar

This bar at Ang Siang Hill has introduced its new range of special festive cocktails available throughout December for takeaway and delivery. Available in 250ml bottles, there are six new cocktails such as Uncle Joe’s Eggnog, Winter Citrus Gimlet and Glüwein (a classic German mulled wine with Jamaican Rum, apple brandy, red wine and mulling spice). The bottle cocktails ($35 each, or $188 for a six-bottle pack) can be bought at the bar or ordered via its website.

Ben & Jerry’s

Enjoy the ice cream joint’s new limited edition flavour, Passionately Pineapple, and be whisked away to that beach holiday you’ve been dreaming about. The dairy-free icy cool sorbet has juicy pineapple chunks along with a tangy passionfruit swirl to tantalise your tastebuds. Available for takeaways and dine-in at Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops at 313 Somerset and VivoCity.
