Chef-owner Janice Wong’s famed Holland Village dessert joint 2am:dessertbar has been undergoing extensive renovations of late. While we wait for their new look to debut next week, we’ll give you a clue to what’s in store.
Occupying the same space, the dessert bar’s edgy new look is outfitted with six new chocolate tables with artwork that changes at least twice a year based on Wong’s inspirations. Expect more edible art experiences from chocolate tables, marshmallow walls, alcohol shots in sugar corals and even edible tableware on top of their plated sweet treats.
The holistic art experience doesn’t stop there—new bar manager Kley Dhillon (formerly of Nuvo and Izy’s Cache) has come on board. Look forward to a boozier experience with an all-new cocktail menu that complements the dessert experience through flavor profiles and even the use of pastry techniques.
Oh, and while you wait for that table (or perhaps just crave something sweet to-go), there’s a takeaway bar downstairs with the likes of churros and beignets.
