The Disgruntled Chef opens at Dempsey

Proving that Dempsey’s still a hot piece of property (was there ever any doubt?), is The Disgruntled Chef (26B Dempsey Rd., 6476-5305). This restaurant-bar concept officially threw open its doors over the long weekend.
Chef-owner Daniel Sia’s latest offering showcases a modern European menu with items such as camembert fondue with a tangy apple sauce, scotched quail eggs and baked bone marrow. For more substantial bites, be sure to try his crackling suckling pig and slow-cooked spiced veal cheek with Yorkshire pudding.
Boozehounds will appreciate the selection of beers, wines and cocktails. Their in-house mixologist creates signatures such as a Sea Salt and Chili Lime Margarita and The Cesar Ritz. The fact that they’re open till late is a big plus.
