The Fat Kid Bakery goes physical with the opening of its first brick-and-mortar shop in Ang Mo Kio

The Fat Kid Bakery has officially left the confines of home for a physical store in Ang Mo Kio. Known for its decadent bakes which made waves on Instagram last year, the brand’s first brick-and-mortar shop in the heartlands is helmed by its 24-year-old owner and self-taught baker, Ariel Tang.

While The Fat Kid Bakery’s physical locale will serve primarily as a collection point for customers who pre-order on the store’s website, a limited number of baked goods will still be available for in-store purchase.

That means nearby residents will be able to get their hands on the bakery’s bestsellers, including the Sourdough Bombos, which come in tantalising flavours like Chocolate, Roasted Oolong, Mango and Blueberry Cheesecake.

They’ve also got Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies, Triple Chocolate Brownies and Eclairs, filled with chocolate, calamansi meringue or vanilla cream.
