Restaurant Hoshigaoka (#04-00 Isetan Scotts, 350 Orchard Rd., 6734-9725) has launched a new menu with items such as unagi kabayaki—eel that’s been steamed with green tea, then grilled ($13.80)—and ishiyaki steak—New Zealand tenderloins served on a hot plate ($16.80). Their bento lunch sets are also good deals starting from $12.80. Opt for the sukiyaki ($13.80) or feast on the Hoshigaoka Zen—a bento box with sashimi, tempura, gindara teriyaki, beef misoyaki, chawanmushi, rice and miso soup ($32).
