Find authentic Malaysian tze char at Crown Prince Kitchenette

As much as we love the vibrant culinary scene available to us in Singapore, it’s no secret that one of our most popular pastimes is to head over across the causeway to enjoy some of our closest neighbour’s authentic dishes.

But if you’re like us and haven’t had the opportunity to indulge in a visit to Malaysia, you’d not want to miss this: Opening right here in Singapore at United Square, Crown Prince Kitchenette presents the taste of true Malaysian tze char and Chinese cuisine.

Helmed by a team of chefs who all hail from Malaysia, their authentic dishes and unmistakable flavours are as comforting as they are delicious. For avid fans of Malaysian cuisine, you’ll be glad to find specialty items like the Signature Crispy “Chao Ta” Beehoon with Seafood, a flattened plate of crispy beehoon filled with plenty of wok hei smokiness and under a crown of juicy seafood.

Other familiar Malaysian flavours to look forward to include their Claypot Herbal Bak Kut Teh, slow-cooked using the chef’s very own recipe that features a secret blend of herbs and spices, available for lunch only, and the gratifying Spinach & Clams in Broth with its familiar trio of eggs, enhanced with the sweetness of clams.

More highlights to look forward to are the amazing offerings of Signature Yellow Wine Chicken in Claypot, a hard-to-find delicacy these days where a whole chicken is simmered in specially aged yellow rice wine, Steamed Patin Fish in Special Nyonya Sauce, and Golden Prawns with Popcorn.

For the young ones, they’ll enjoy the fun Chicken Lollipop with Cereal. Then, end off your experience with the restaurant’s Yam Paste with Pumpkin Sauce, differentiated with their use of pumpkin sauce instead of the conventional coconut cream for a lighter rendition of the traditional orh nee dessert.
