The guys behind much loved Gem Bar, quirky Zui Hong Lou and bespoke cocktail bar, Manor Cocktail Room are onto its next dining venture (already!) with Pluck, and it looks set to please self-professed foodies with its modern, tapas-focused menu.
We haven’t actually seen the space yet—it opens May 12—but we hear it follows the done-to-death industrial look with subway tiles and distressed walls (yawn). Decor aside, the menu, care of chef Brandon Teo (who has earned his culinary stripes at Jaan, Keong Saik Snacks and Esquina) looks rather promising. There’s a diverse array of tapas-style plates ($12 upwards) such as bone marrow and parsley croquettes, heavier dishes ($22 upwards) like rump of lamb with polenta, plus hefty sharing platters (suckling pig, anyone? $38 upwards). Cocktail imbibers should also do well with concoctions from the drinks menu dreamed up by industry veteran, Din Hassan, who currently helms Manor Cocktail.
Look out for a more detailed review on this new spot soon.
