Two new garden bars and an Alpine Sunday brunch

Lewin Terrace

This year, they’re making full use of their leafy surroundings with a bar extension. Grab cocktails inspired by Singapore’s garden heritage with herbs and spices like chilli, galangal and even curry leaves. This year also sees a sake pairing dinner and appreciation class. But if you manage to snag a spot, the French-Japanese restaurant is still serving their New Year’s menu with dishes like foie gras chawanmushi and challan duck in a miso-red wine sauce for $148 per person.

The White Rabbit

Our favorite Dempsey lush dining destination gets a little funkier. Their outdoor bar and patio, The Rabbit Hole, gets a makeover. Expect a gin garden where they’ll be growing their own herbs and mixing them up with small batch gins like Citadelle, Blue Moon, New Deal and artisanal tonics.

Zott’s

The alpine restaurant has some new tricks up its sleeve this year. They’ll debut their tapas bar upstairs with an extensive list of obscure schnapps and vodkas, as well as launch a Sunday brunch (kaiserschmarrn before noon, anyone?) and a mobile bakery serving homemade breads, jams and cheese from different Alpine regions. Also in the works are a theatrical dinner collab with Skinned Knee Productions and cooking classes for singles.
